I honestly have no issues with Mr. Rupp or Mr. Collins. Mackelle is also the best and really was helpful as much as she could. I just honestly feel like Mr. Becerra just did not do what I would expect a private retained attorney would do, which is try and fight for my case as we are going through Mediation. It was essentially just me and the Judge that was discussing it and Mr. Becerra just kind of sat back and let us do all the talking, with maybe one or two inputs about stuff that was already pretty obvious.. he genuinely is a nice man, and I am not writing this trying to diminish his character. I just don’t know if he was exhausted from the day before; where he had said he went through an 8 hour Meditation. I just personally will never use or recommend this Firm to anyone if it means they will get stuck with Mr. Becerra.

Update 3/6/26: I was recently contacted by Mr. Collins regarding my review on here, and I am pretty pleased I will admit. I was informed that they let go of Mr. Becerra because of the same reasons I had stated below, from more then just me. I truly appreciate him reaching out and just checking in. It’s kind of too late now to fix anything, which I’ve come to terms with and am ok with. I appreciate your follow up Mr. Collins and will adjust my rating. Because like I said below, I truly liked everyone in that office, besides my specific attorney of course! I honestly have no issues with Mr. Rupp or Mr. Collins. They did really good in helping me understand and guiding me on my car accident from last year. I highly recommend Logan and Joe as well as their team. Joe did a great job speaking Spanish.

Collins & Rupp SAVED MY LIFE! I was let down by other attorneys. I was mentally beaten and bruised by the process, I was wrongfully accused, my name and reputation has been torn to shreds. Joseph and Logan stepped up and proved my innocence, what that State could have done if they would have just spent 10 minutes looking at the evidence. I was looking at Life, yeah LIFE in prison, Joseph, Logan and the rest of the crew looked at the evidence, the timeline, the testimony of everyone else and proved that they were not telling the truth. There is a vast difference between lawyers who will just take your money and these guys who sat down and listened and looked at everything. Other lawyers just wanted to get me to take a deal and didn’t care about the truth, Joseph and Logan, they cared. This firm did the right thing by walking in and having an open mind and looking at what was going on. I was going through a rough divorce and just two weeks after mediation I was charged with a sexual offense so my wife could get full custody, and money. All the custody and all the money. Was what I went through unfair? Yes. Was what I had to deal with wrong? Yes. Did I get justice in the end? YES and no. I lost family and friends but Joseph and Logan proved my innocence and I gained my freedom. When I was about to have very few pages left in my life, I just gained the next 30+ years that I would have sat in prison. If it were not for Joseph, Logan and the rest of the Collins Rupp crew I would have my freedom that as a Veteran I cherish so very much. This is why every year I will send flowers for my freedom.

Everyone involved showed a lot of care and respect for my situation and helped me navigate the difficult court processes. Joe and Julie were extremely helpful and genuine in trying to get me the best outcome possible even with the knowledge that the result wasn't exactly what I wanted. I received the best outcome that I don't believe I would have gotten anywhere else. They really took the time to fully investigate my case and get to the bottom of it all while keeping me updated the whole time. Hopefully I don't need their services again but if I do, I won't hesitate to reach out, fully expecting another professional and respectful outcome. Thank you guys!

My experience with this firm was really bad. I was excited to have them represent me but Mrs Donosso said things during my mediation that were not accurate, almost as she wasn’t familiar with the case, I felt misrepresented, she was pushy about decisions and didn’t even consider any laws, I’ve consulted other attorneys after her and they all cited many laws that protect me and my rights. She also made some comments that confirm it’s more about the cases she wins than the client’s needs/rights. It was very disappointing and they charge you even for the air you breathe. So I wouldn’t recommend them if you’re looking for someone who will fight for you and you know you have protections. I’m not ignorant, although I felt treated as such, I’ve been dealing with my case for many years so you learn a thing or two.
